I’m Eric Foltin. Gen X. Self-taught. Still messing with things. I like old technology, computers, HTML, Linux, photography, punk rock, movies, dogs, and the weird corners of the internet that haven’t been turned into a corporate shopping mall yet.

I like old computers. CRT monitors. Command lines. Physical media. Simple websites. Code that actually does something. Technology with buttons. Technology with wires. Technology that doesn’t need a subscription to turn on. I like things that were built to work instead of things designed to keep you engaged until you die.

I like punk rock, photography, old movies, dogs, and making things. I like taking things apart just to see how they work. Sometimes I fix them. Sometimes I make them worse. This is basically how I learn.

This site is not a résumé. It is not a business. It is not a personal brand. It is not a content strategy. Nobody is getting a fucking KPI report from this website.

I keep this site up because I want my own place on the internet. A place without an algorithm deciding what I should see. Without a feed telling me what matters. Without a corporation changing the rules every six months.

It’s just a domain. Some HTML. Some CSS. Some JavaScript. Some words. Some photos. Whatever else I feel like throwing into it.

The old web was full of people making their own little corners of the internet. Weird pages. Personal sites. Hobby pages. Homepages. Hand-built digital junk drawers.

I like that.

So I’m keeping mine.

No algorithm. No influencer bullshit. No marketing department. No subscription. No permission.

Just me, my website, and the internet.
